We started learning Ryukyu dance from early childhood and have found that training is a wonderful opportunity to focus on oneself.

In addition to improving one’s powers of concentration and perseverance, Ryukyu dance training also fosters self-confidence through the experience of performing on stage in front of other people, and for this reason it is also an excellent practice for children. One student, in her second year of training with us, won the New Artist prize in the dance category of the Okinawa Times Traditional Arts Competition, which is the gateway to success for aspiring dancers.
